To the Members of AWSDA:

We, the Board, are sending you this letter in hopes that you will consider its message.

As you may know, AWSDA has been in existence since 1990, and has held a Conference most every year. It saddens us to bring you the following news.

1. Based upon the current number of members (and projected numbers) signed up to attend the 2008 Conference in Greenville, SC, we may be forced to cancel this years Conference.

2. At the projected rate of attendees, AWSDA will lose money because of the lack of being able to fill the contracted rooms (one reason for asking you to book your room “under” AWSDA); and, of course, if we cancel this years Conference, AWSDA will lose money.

3. Regrettably, if we do NOT have a minimum of eighty (80) fully paid attendees by 1700 (EST), May 9th (Friday), 2008, we will be forced to cancel this years Conference.

4. If the Conference is canceled, we will send out a notice of cancellation with refunds for those monies paid to AWSDA.. The Board will also reschedule the annual meeting.

Should the Board be forced to cancel the conference, the Board will distribute a letter informing the membership of the past year's activities of AWSDA and discussing the organization's future plans.

FYI- We ARE working on the 2009 Conference in Colorado. Having said the above...

With your assistance, we will make the 2008 Conference one of the greatest!

You will be joining your fellow AWSDA members, new and old, in the wonderful State of South Carolina. The hotel is grand, the training will be the best, and the company irresistible.
