Mission Statement
A.W.S.D.A is an international, non-profit (501-c), educational organization, dedicate to ending violence against woman by providing training programs for instructors and services for women, designed to increase their education of self defense and rape prevention.
A.W.S.D.A. does not promote any specific self defense type or style, rather we encourage training in various self defense options ranging from empty handed self defense to training in the use of lethal weapons. A.W.S.D.A’s long-term goal is the “put ourselves out of business!” In other words, we seek to make this planet a safer place in which women’s self defense is no longer needed.
AWSDA members automatically receive a subscription to the highly acclaimed and informative newsletter "The Fisted Rose." The quarterly newsletter informs readers of training organizations, upcoming events, corporate sponsorship promotions, and includes various self-defense-related articles. Members also receive discounts on the annual hands-on and lecture training seminar. Moreover, AWSDA allows members to take an active role in their organization by offering committee and regional representative openings.
