Community Services
AWSDA supports the community by giving free and low cost four hour rape prevention courses. This course has been taught to and helped thousands of women worldwide. The Rape Prevention Course is open to any female 12 years or older. This class provides women with the knowledge, training and power that enables them to choose not to be a victim. Free demonstrations of this Rape Prevention Course may also be available in your area, frequently conducted for community groups, high schools and colleges.
Training
AWSDA provides Rape Prevention Instructor Certification to its members via our Annual Training Conference and via courses held throughout the year. Additionally, AWSDA also provides an Annual Training Conference where members can learn the latest in self defense, and network with the leaders in the field of self defense. Top trainers from across the globe are brought in specifically for our members' benefit. Support/Referral Network
For those women who are looking for self-defense, rape crisis centers, counselors, and support groups, AWSDA has developed an extensive support and referral network superior to any of its kind. This networking system has been developed over the years and is used to help locate the necessary services for any member or crime victim who calls looking for information. This network includes self-defense training, legal advocates, defense attorneys, temporary shelters, etc. We also have qualified members who can render assistance by providing expert witness testimony on the behalf of the victim.
